: : No, no Mavericks were factory assembled with nine inch rears, however just for the historical record, in the August 1969 issue of Motor Trend, when the editors went back to Dearborn to interview Lee Iaccoca on the phenominal sales succes the Maverick was having, There was a article in the same issue describing a Maverick assembled by Chuck Foulger Ford ( a high performance dealership similar to Tasca Ford and Spaulding Dodge) in which they installed a Boss 302 and four speed with a 3.91 Trac-Loc nine inch and as far as I know were selling them to the public. Your chances of finding one are however slim to none. Just thought you all might want to know. I have the magazine somewhere else right now, however the one thing I do remeber was that a stock Torino Cobra Jet driveshaft fit right in after exactly one and a half inche's had been removed!
