Ken is right. Before taking on a project like this,You need to look at everything that would be involved (1)what will have to be done to the car itself? (2)how much would it cost to obtain and build a 428cj? (3)I dont know how much mechanical know how you have, but think about how much of this work you will have to pay someone else to do.
(4) when you are done the car will be pretty nose heavy and probably hard to work on because of space limitations. Now take into consideration how many 5.0 mustangs are out there that are still going to be ALOT faster than your car would probably be. My point is small block parts are so plentiful and reasonably priced...you could put a stroked (347 ect.) small block with aluminum heads into your car for less money ,and alot less effort than the big block set up. As far as performance is concerned the sky is the limit as far as how fast you want to make that small block run ie. nitrous, supercharger ect. If you are not sure about this, pick up a copy of Super Ford or 5.0 magazine and look at the quarter mile times it says these guys are running. Then figure out how fast you want to go and how much you want to spend. and go from there.
