I use a Holley 'Blue' electric pump on my '74 Maverick. Comes with a regulator so you need a guage to set the pressure. I run about 6 psi with a Holley 780 cfm vacuum secondary carb. And yes, it is really easy to wire in a kill switch as added security. I would also recommend getting the oill pressure switch from holley or Mr. Gasket. It shuts off power to the pump when oil pressure drops below a certain level (I think 10 psi) to prevent excessive damage to your engine.

: Do any of you use one in your Maverick? If so, what brand and model number? Are they reliable? How long should one expect for an electric fuel pump to last?

: Thanks.
