Do you need to have a new shifter arm on the transmission when switching to a floor shifter? Is the tunnel marked where it needs to be cutout to mount the shifter?
I have been thinking of doing this to my '77.

: : i have a 70 mav that i am doing a restomod on. i have a 1971 donor car. both had the 6 cyl 3 ont the tree. i have already switched to 5 lug front and rear from a 1973 donor car. should i keep the 3 on the tree or put it in the floor. mine would be the only mav with a 3 on the tree in town, so it would be pretty unique. plus the tire and wheel combo will knock em dead too
