I have looked into alternate forums and most of them, like the one you mentioned, create dynamic on the fly webpages.
The MMB creates static web pages which can be later viewed without running any scripts or software.
With the static pages, I can store the old MMBs on other servers like I do now with the archives.
The archives are now over 100 megs in size and they keep growing every month.
I have been testing out a new forum which has a few more features and I will install it next month if it meets my satisfaction.
Some of the options include optional user registration, file uploading, etc.
