: I just got back from the boneyard and I found four V8 mavericks. I checked the first one and the x-member was cut, same for the second one. Found the third car and the short block was still in there so I thought hey we've got it. Well, no tranny and no crossmember to be found anywhere. I checked the trunk, back seat....nothing. Now you are asking what about the fourth car, yep the x-member was there. I jacked the car up and started to remove it when I noticed it had only one hump! Sounds like a 6 banger x-member. I'm suspicious at this point and I decide to check the motor mounts. You guessed it, someone "rigged" the V8 into the car with the wrong motor mounts and of course they used the 6 banger x-member. So in the end, no luck after checking four cars! Sorry I couldn't help! wm
