Feel 'em out. If it looks like they really need to unload it start your offer at $500. Otherwise $750. The best thing ot do is make friends before you barter. Tell them about your situation, and why you need the car, just BS for awhile so they like you and they'd like to see you get the car. Then talk 'em down. Of course, if it seems like they wouldn't want the car to be parted out then you're better off not mentioning that. -CP
