You might be able to make them flow better, but they'll NEVER make as much power!! Its not complex its a simple matter of dynamics... Manifolds are far from equal length, which significantly hurts exhaust pulsation and that is probably the most significant thing in a naturally aspirated car. The ports on Manifolds have a rather extreme bend in them and that is not good at all when you compare it to the angle of the valve. Why are headers so hard to fit? because any good header company utilizes EVERY available inch of room to raise the ports and radius the bends. Flow is only a small part of the picture. On a supercharged or turbo'd car, flow is much more important. On an NA SBF, manifolds will kill you.
NHRA's conversions at 6200 ft gives a 14.00 second car a 12.8 ET. So unless you're running under a 14.2 you're not even breaking the 13 second mark with a built 351W. I'm not trying to flame you, but you're giving yourself almost 3 seconds in ET that you don't have. -CP
: I am racing mine though. This year it's only a 14 second car at 6200 feet above sea level... thats a mid 10 car at sea level. of cours thats aprox...damn keyboard stickin
