like everybody else, i'm trying to do this on a budget(yeah right!) it would cost me a whole lot more to have overaxle pipes bent. as it is right now, i have everything except the balance tube, so the shop would just have to supply that, and put it all together.

: I have a system that is exactly as Inshan describes, and like you said , I am going to say I have had no major problems. But I do think it is a wise choice to run the pipes out to the back of the car because when I am at a stop light I do get a wiff of the gases when I wait, which isn't all that bad because when I start going it goes away(but I always leave my window 1/4 open even if its 20 degrees out), but it isn't all that safe either. But like Charlie said, the pipes should be run out to the back of the car. Of course it has been said not to run side exiting exhausts on a car because of this very reason, but again, how long are you going to wait at the stop light? Long enough to pass out? You are gonna do what ya want anyway, but just take this piece of advice, if you do happen to stop the exhaust at mid-car, please if you ever happen to feel dizy or smell fumes, OPEN YOUR WINDOW OR PULL OVER because I am not joking here by saying that people have passed out while driving because of fumes. BTW, there is nothing wrong with turn downs when they are at the back of the car.
