they are a 1156 bulb, white as the lens is already yellow, if I remember right, have to check the manual tonight. The relay is behind the plastic cover by your left foot driver's side. If it's bad, just bypass it as they are tough to replace. You do have to have your headlight switch in one of the two on positions also for them to get power.

: Hi there . I was wondering if somebody could help me . I have a 1971 Maverick Grabber that I have had for 11 years . And in those 11 years I still have not found an answert to a few questions regarding its sportlamps . (The 2 big lights in the grille that are not the turn signals/parklights) First what lightbulb did they originally use . 1157 , 1156 , or 1157na (orange colored) ? Second , how exactly did Ford wire them . I know they used the "SportLamps"(The switch does say that) switch on the dash (above the passengers glove tray ). But is there a relay ? Where is the fuse located ? etc. I currently have them wired to this switch and running both filaments in an 1157 bulb. Any help is appreciated by myself and Eleanor(My Maverick). Thanx Doug
