flywheel/flexplate are the same piece, just called different depending on who you talk with, as far as Ford goes. Make sure and get the block/trans spacer plate that goes behind the flywheel. If the flywheel isn't there, no big deal as they're not that costly. $275 is a good price especially if it's complete and was a runned when they took it out. If there is still oil in it, check the dipstick for signs of water in the oil. And does it hand crank over?


: i have a chance at a 70 302 motor complete for $275 - my question is do i have to have the flywheel and flexplate w/ this motor? looking at the motor from the back i will see the flywheel (if there) and the flexplate bolts to the front side of that?
