In my opinion, a Sprint is the rarest Maverick ever made and worthy of a restoration. There are plenty of cars out there that can be bought for a winter driver, but not many Maverick Sprint's out there. Have your brother buy an Escort.
=======================================
: I bought a 72 maverick for transportation while my truck is in the shop.
: I thought the paint job (origional) was unique. While serching on the web.
: I learned it is a sprint. It is white, blue and red. It has 53,000 origional miles, a 200 six, and is a southern car. The interrior needs to be redone, the body is in decent shape. I have the origional title paperwork, build sheet and manuel. Now I am getting my truck back, I want to know: do I sell it to my brother for a winter ride? Or do I put it aside and restore it later? Or do I sell it to someone who will give it the loving attention it needs.
: My brother is putting pressure on me to let him drive it this winter,
: but if it is a collectable I don't want to do it.
: Does anyone know how many sprints were produced, or what one that is still 100% stock is worth?
: Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
