You might be able to find a center section that will bolt right in with the gears you want from a Junkyard. All 1974 Mustang II's had 3.55:1 rear gears, and the V6 cars had 8" rears. Posi was an option, though you'd be lucky to find one. Look in Pintos and later Mustang II's as 3.55:1 gears were optional in those cars. I found a set here in AL not too long ago (its gone now, I told Bill S. about it). You should be able to find one. -CP


: How hard is it to replace the gears in a 8"? To change the with another gear set like 3.55's or something. Are there special tools needed or can a back yard mech. do it. I don't mean changing the center sections, but the gears themselves. OR what kind of money are we talking to buy a complete center section from someone like Currie Ent.? Thanks Russ
