I agree with MadMav. YOu can get the old paint off, but you will most likely turn the original vinyl color pale. You could then re-paint it, but I fear that you would not be happy with the results. Vinyl paint won't work, and regular paint is not a whole lot better. It chips off very easily. I actually had my pad upholstered with the same cloth material I used on the seats, door panels, and rear package tray. It looks sharp, and I'll never have to worry about fading or cracking. Just my thoughts...
: I found a blue pash pad from a 72 mav. Will this one fit my 73? Also can the blue paint that is covering what used to be a black dash pad either be removed or painted over? Thanks
