What kind of carb is it? My after market Edelbrock has two vacuum ports on the front, one for timed vacuum and one for constant. I imagine the two barrel is the same, I'm not sure though. if you need a constant vacuum try hooking it up to the vacuum "tree" in the rear of the manifold. My '77 needs constant and before I hooked up the Edelbrock carb the vacuum was hooked up in the rear. If you have power brakes you probly have a device like that on the manifold.
: I have changed everything ,including the distributor,all the way to the plugs. I can't seem to find the miss in it. I checked the compression, all cylinder are holding about 110 pounds.so my question is this, I have two vacuum hoses on my distributor,Now where does the one with the constant vacuum go??? The other runs from the base of the carb. it only has vacuum when you give it the gas.
