Sorry it took so long to get back to you. As a season ticket holder to the Yankees, I've been pretty busy going to games these past couple weeks. Now that they've kicked the Mets butts, I figured it was time to get caught up with my work.

The Hurst Part # for a V-Gate 2 4 speed shifter is 4118156 and 3738175 for the installation kit. This kit was for a toploader from a 1970-73 Mustang. It comes with a mounting plate and shifter rods. The mounting location is the three hole closest to the tail shaft. The rods actually fit closer to the transmission than the rods for my Competition Plus shifter.

This shifter makes it impossible to miss 2nd to 3rd gear shifts and is a definate performance piece for 1/4 mile drivers. The only reason I don't have it in my car is that I switched over to a Doug Nash 5 speed and a Long vertigate shifter (which is probably 3xs a strong as the Hurst shifter). It takes a little getting used to to drve on the street as you need to keep aware of where you are at in the 4sp pattern.

I'm looking at my old invoices and see that the cost for the shifter was $150 and the installation kit $90. I'd sell it to you or anyone else for $210 + shipping. I used it on the street 2 dozen times and maybe 5 times at the track. E-mail me back if you are interested.
