: I was looking through the '99 Ford Racing catalogue the other day and saw they have headers for the '96 Exploder which have thier primary tubes on the foreward most ports tucked EXTREMELY tight. The only problem I could see in using these in a 351/maverick combo is that the outlet on the pass. side header seems to point too the firewall. I have a 250 in my '71 Mav currently. How much clearance do you V8 guys have from the right head to the firewall??

I dont think that the explorer shortys will work with a 302, and i am sure that they wont with a 351. The distance between the cylinder head and the shocktower is way to tight for a head with that kind of width. Have you ever seen any articles were they notch out the shock towers. That may add enough room for a 302 or 351.
