: if it has small amounts of rust you can usually fix that over time, as long as all the major body parts are there. Sounds like a good buy especially if they can throw in any extra parts along with it.

: : I JUST LOCATED A 1971 GRABBER FOR SALE. IT'S LIME GREEN IN COLOR.....PRETTY DARN GOOD SHAPE....HAS NO ENGINE......BUCKET SEATS ARE PRETTY GOOD. NO RUST OR VERY MINIMAL IF ANY. THE GUY WANTS $500 FOR THE CAR. WHAT IS YOUR FEELING. TOO MUCH, OR SHOULD I SNARF IT UP???????

Most 1971 "Grabbers" were 6 cylinder with 4 lug wheels,if it has 5 lugs and the cross member for the V-8 engine then buy it.Don't forget the word "Grabber" was only a trim package,no performance option ever offered on the Maverick! So don't think Your getting a deal! Yes You get the hood and the spoiler but no engine! If You have the time and cash You can make a very nice car out of it. Let us know what You deside to do. Good luck! Tom
