Bob; two things come to mind, especially since the car has sat a while. Check
the fuel filter, and pull the top off of the carb and see if any trash has
gotton into the needle and seat. Also, check the timing, and inside the
distributer, to see if the points are corroded or the condensor is loose
or corroded. Barring all that, the tank might be fouled with rust or trash
and need to be cleaned. Hope this helps. Let us know. Earl
