gears handle more valve spring load and are more accurate, but also much more expensive. Double roller steel timing gears and chain work just fine. That's what the Nascar people use up to 9000 rpms all day long.

: Has anyone used timing gears as apposed to a timing chain? I keep reading about how timing gears are more acurate but can't handle the RPMs.
: I am always looking for a cheap trick and was just wondering if it was worth it. I guess what I'm asking is, if I buy one will I be sorry?
: Will it fail at 5 grand or is the noise out of control? I would like to try one to see what all the fuss is about.

: Thanks
