several advantages, better bearings on the shaft for more support and longer lasting, better seal, and normally about 30% more water flow which can reduce a over heating problem, The weight savings is only about 3-5lbs. Only a factor in a full race vehicle. They are money well spent. Even for the street.
: The Weiand pump is only $99 in jegs, while a stock replacement at the local parts store is $70. Should I just get the aluminum? any disadvantages to this?
