I just counted all the timeslips I have ever got in my Maverick. I have been down the track 57 times in the Maverick. That is like 14 miles worth. The times start at mid 16's when I started racing my original 150,000 mile 302 w/2barrel and single exhaust. I got the original motor down to 15.4 with 4bbl and headers and decided that was enough on the old motor (it still runs good and am putting it in my friends Bronco). I have worked the times down with the new motor to mid 13's on motor and 12.7 with a 100 shot of Nos. It has been a learning experience both in mechanical and driving ability. The weather finally cooled off enough that I am starting to go out to the track again. Each time I go I do more tuning and it keeps getting faster. I know that with more tuning and a 150 shot of NOS high 11's are very possible. Imagine going to the track running 11's and driving home in an all metal full interior nothing gutted car. Wish me luck.
