:I've had the same idea on my mind for some time. Even if the scoops aren't in the ideal position, it's likely to produce SOME gain if you don't mind putting in the time, effort and materials. To date I've succeeded in picking up an extra set of those scoop inserts, cheap, from a crashed Grabber (hood wrecked;inserts survived). I plan to open up this second set with a Dremel, or something and build some form of ducting system to run to them in fair weather. I thought that I might pick up some early factory breather with twin snorkles and run plastic ducting between the scoops and the snorkles. I thought I'd make up a set of 'plugs' to stuff in the openings if I got caught away from home in the rain (maybe some pieces cut to the shape of the scoop openings with an inch or two of tapered, dense foam glued to the back to allow them to be 'pressed' (literally) into service when needed and kept in the trunk the rest of the time). I like the idea of cable activated flaps best(ala GTO Judge, which incidently has a hood that looks remarkably like the Grabber's!), but don't have the fabricating skills to rig that up. I hope this has generated some new streams of thought for you on the subject. If you come up with an inspiration, please share it. I, for one, would be very interesed in hearing about it. John B.

: I was walking by my Grabber at the shop today and the hood was up when it struck me....why not make your scoops functional,as in RAM AIR!Has anyone tried this?Got any pics if you have?It looks pretty simple, some weather stripping,a fabricated breather....
