if the engine is staying at a good temp year round stay with the 195. It's better on the engine for sealing the rings and fuel combustion.
: I keep seeing all these people talking about the 160 thermostat, but is it a good idea? I am currently running with a 195, and my engine runs about 195-200 all the time, hot or cold days. I would like it to run a little cooler, but I keep seeing people say to stay away from the 160. Why is that? I unfortunately have never run a 160 throughout my years of playing with my cars, so I wouldn't know if it gives a power increase. Would a 180 be better? Thanks for any info possible.
