Is this a race only car or is it a daily driver. I have a 2500 stall converter with 3.89 gears in a 9". This setup works good for me but I have a Stealth intake with can take lower rpms. What cam are you running? and how high do you rev your engine when racing?. If you aren't going over 6000 rpm I'd go with the 2500-2800.
