The headers on the car came off of the 302 that was in the car before the 351. They came in the car so I don't know the brand. The 302 headers that are made to fit a maverick will bolt to a 351W. The exhaust bolt pattern and alignment is the same (in fact, there the same heads with diffrent valves). It was still a pain to get the headers on the car. I was ended up putting the passenger side on first (with the engine unbolted) from the underneath. I then dropped the engine down on the mounting pads (the mounts were already on the block). I bolted the mounts down, but didn't tighten them. Next I jack the drivers side of the engine up, wrestled the headers in, and started the end bolts on the headers. I had to slot the ends of the gaskets and slide them between the header and the block. Then bolts on the drivers side motor mount have to be very loose to do this. after the drivers side header is bolted on, drop the engine down onto the header. The header will probably hit the shock tower. This is why the mount has to be loose, otherwise you would never get the holes to line up. after the motor is down as far as it will go, tighten the mounts up. When you tighten the mounts, it will pull the motor down to where it is suppost to be. I also dimpled my headers to give a little clearance between them and the shock tower, but not much! It took me a whole day to figure this one out, but it works, and there was no way I was going to put cast iron manifolds on this engine the way it was built...they would have choked it severly. Hope this helps.
