Done. Pretty straight forward per the other comments. I took the motor/trans from a '92 mustang. Since all of the stock engine options in the maverick/comet have the small block bell housing pattern, so you can use the mustang 5L / T5 bell housing as an "adapter" on the stock mav/com motor. The shifter hole position is a little closer to the driver than I'm used to , but it works well with bucket seats. You have to push in an area of the fire wall above the bell housing to clear, and allow the output shaft to be horzontal. Don't forget to think about the cable clutch on this approach though.

: : Anybody done this?I have access to two(2) T-5's somebody brought in to my work to have built. They kinda abandoned them there.(Been there for 31 days yesterday.)Now they belong to me!What all is involved in this?I know a cross member and drive shaft. Will my Z-bar work? How about the stock shifter location?I have a factory 3-spd.Also need info on subframe connectors. Can anybody help me?
