My headers didn't hit the steering box after they were in. While I was trying to install them they did, thought, if I remeber correctly. That is why I had to lift the engine on one side. I installed the drivers side for underneath ( the engine had to be lifted so the header flange would fit between the cylinder head and the shock tower). The drivers side motor mount was loose both from the frame and the block. From the bottom, the header just barely slipped in between the shock tower and the engine. I bolted the header on and tightened it down when I got it aligned. I dropped the engine down on the headers, then I tightened all the bolts on the motor mount. The passenger side went in fairly easy, like you said. I also don't know what brand the headers are, like I said in my last post. To tell you the truth, I don't know if I could do this again. If I could, it would still be a pain even though I know how to do it. Somethign else. With the 351 and headers, you will have a hell of a time changing spark plugs. Have fun! HeHeHe... : )
Hope this helps a little more. Try it, and tell me what happens.
