The firing order will be 351.. 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 . Only the HO motors had the 351W firing order, so make sure it was an HO (not sure if Capris had them in 1982, but the Mustangs did.) -CP

: If this is the case (92 Capris are FWD Austrailian Fords), then it is not a roller motor, so the dist gear does not need to be changed. It IS balanced like a late model, so you'll need to use the exsisting balancer (I believe your Maverick pulleys should bolt right up) as well as the flexplate, If it s a C4 and not an AOD you can use the flexplate, it should be 157 teeth, count to make sure. (That's the number of teeth you want). That's about it, the internals of the late model 82-up 302s are much lighter and you'll get better fuel mileage out of one compared to an early motor. -CP

: : A friend is picking up a 5.0 from a 92 Capri to put in his Maverick. I know about the timming cover, pan, and oil pickup. What else will not work? Is this a roller motor & if so I know there is something about the distribuator gear that needs to be changed but I cant remember what it was. Also can we use the existing C4 flexplate? Anything else we should know??? What about the harmonic balancer? Thanks a bunch
