I don't have exp with the books, but the software is good.

You should use it with a known base line. EG your car with all the stats that happen to be active at the time of your baseline. EG temp and altitude etc... then use the same stats on your future runs.
it is kind of fun to run the prog using one car and change the tires and headers etc.. to see how that effects the time in a 1/4 mile.

It can be accurate IF you have everything perfect and know the proper front area of the car and the drag coefficent (SP) and remember that it assumes that the suspension is perfect and that is really rare.

In other words its a great help to see how things will improve but you can't use it as a judge of what your car will actually do.

The program doesn't teach anything but i guess that is what the book might be for. I have better than that, I have an engine builder that has 7 NHRA winners running his engines and some even running his Trannys
He is hot in other words.

I wish I could get him to host a chat or something but alas he is way too busy... and right now i would not bug him if my life depended on it... he's building my tranny and engine :) he he he.... I was supposed to be helping but i am working 7 days a week right now.

any ?'s i would be glad to pose them but I won't see him for at least a week. Chris
