My mav is a street car but I do like the ratchet up feature. I had a Hurst Pro Matic 2 in a truck a long time ago, but did not install it. How difficult/what is involved in the install? I know you cut a hole in the floor, but how does it interface with the tranny?

Thanx! Mark G

: I have a B&M Starshifter in my Maverick. It was a choice between that one and the Hurst V-matic 2 (I wanted a dual mode shifter since I my mav will not be race only). Couldn't find the Hurst anywhere. Both Jegs and Summit were out of stock. The Starshifter works in a dual mode, can be a normal shifter or can ratchet up from 1-2 & 2-3. It does not ratchet back down. If you want a full ratchet shifter, B&M has the Mega-shifter line. They are an nice shifter, but, I passed in it due to the rarchet only construction. Jeg's sells the Mega Shifter for $151.99 and the Starshifter for $141.99.

: : on a brand and model of auto floor shifter. I do need to convert to a floor shifter and now is a good time, I just drained the tranny fluid! Thanx for all the help guys!
