I got a used 9" 3.70:1 posi center section at a swap meet for $165. That was a great deal, but $200 is normal. Typical 8" posi sections run $300-400. I'm talking about used part avalibility. Almost nothing on my car was purchased from a catalog. I can't afford it.
You should be smart enough to realize that mini-spools have the same # because the axles are the same, but the posi units & full size spools can never physically interchange because there is a 1" difference in ring gear sizes!-CP
: according to my Jegs a Auburn Posi is $396 for both the 8" & 9" and the Powertrax No-slip adjustable street locker is $420 for both the 8" & 9", In fact on one application they use the same part number for a 8" and 9". Do you have a diferent price book then I do Charlie? Even the mini spools use the same part number and price. Neither one is cheap.
