It sounds to me like you have a power disc brake car. The rod for the brakes doeds go thru the firewall at an angle and off to the side of the brake pedal. also, you need a bracket that moves the booster/master cyl out away from the firwall and holds it at an angle.

If you email me some pictures.....I could confirm this for you.

===========================================
: I need to find out what type of master cylinder this one had and what I need to do to get ahold of the whole brake hydraulics system? This brake system seema weird as the push rod for the brake peddal goes through a different hole than normal. The regular hole is blocked by plate the has a ford stamp on it. There is a small hole to the uppr rght from where this is and you can see the shaft on which the pushrod and brakelight switch go.. The only reason I am inquiring about this is because there was no master cylinder or proportioning valve or andything. Not even a booster. I had bought a replacement booster through Autozone and it would not fit as the hole it needs to go throught to reach the peddal assembly is blocked.. Not power brakes I think.. The manual brake master cylinder looks exactly like the one from the boosted system only no booster.. Is there a plate that should attatch the manual brake master cylinder to the fire wall or is it suppose to be bolted directly to the fire wall as well? I need a lot of help with this as I am trying to get this car running soon.. The car was bought from a junkyard as a salvage title.. The car is straight just no brake system, mo drive train (motor,transmission and driveshaft). I am just trying to get this thing on the road.. I have about 30 days before I need to get it moving again. I can send photos of the car if you need to see what I am looking at so that you may be able to help me.. I also need to find a place that may have a repair manual for this.. I did see that Autokrafters has a parts catalog for the 70-77 maverick and I will be ordering that on Tuesday.. I used another site to crack the VIN and this car was originally a 302w/C-4 auto.. That is what I have already put back into it.. Much help is needed and any help is greatly appreciated..

: Great site..

: Matt
