due to the restrictions you've put on the mods, bets ideas
1. go to a bigger exhaust piping system 2 1/2" pipes. Headers are well worth the money.
2. Should have a one barrel Holley carb on it. Have it blueprinted to beeter preformance.
3. go to a 3/8" fuel line system from tank pickup to carb inlet with a high preformance fuel pump.
4. add a 50hp Nitrous system.
5. Make sure your brakes, suspension and drive train are in good shape.
6. Put in a electic fan and get rid of the factory fan. Takes lots of horsepower to spin that fan.

: I have a 70 mav, C4 trans, 2.79 gearing, pure stock 200, 61000 actual miles overhauled at 39000 miles because it sat for many years, I would like to awaken it a little bit but I don't want to go very far from stock (meaning no headers or big mods) but would like a little bit more go power. I currently run 18-19 on the 1/4 mile. What would be some suggestions? I don't expect a huge difference. What about Duraspark ignition, is it worth it? I thought about changing the gearing but it would probably be pretty high rpm at 75.
