Everything that you mention is already out...including the windshield. Firewall is even gone...to be replaced by an aluminum hand-fabricated one sometime next week (HOPEFULLY!!!) I don't have any idea why I haven't looked at the dash pad before now. It's just one of those things that never really caught my attention until now.

: You don't have to remove the windshield to remove the dash pad. That is for the whole dashboard. The dash pad has a bunch of screw holding it on. You have to take out the instrument panel and center a/c vents, and probably some other stuff to get to them. They go all across the dash pad about every foot or so. There are just holes from the screws left over. If this is a drag only car you might as well take out the heater box, if you haven't already, to make it easier to get out the dash pad.
