Lot of cam for the street, it's a 2600 to 6800 rpm cam. The 230/240 dur at .050" is to much. You'd need a 4.11 gears to keep it alive. I recommend 1st, #10601 or 2nd #30611. Another problem is going to be the 3spd. they are very weak, no matter what, and unless you take it easy on her she'll break pretty soon. The gear spread isn't real great. A good old top loader 4spd will be better.
actually a set of 4.11 gears with a T-5 trans, would be a killer street machine, using the engine parts you've chosen, the cam & manifold are 2000 rpm+ setups. A little to much for a daily driver.

: : I finished building my 3-spd manual today at work.Slow day today, not many broken trannies. It was in pretty good shape considering it has about 130,000 on the clock. All it needed was the bearing, synchros, and small parts kit.My question now is what clutch should I get?It has the lever type on it now,but I was thinking about a diaphram type instead.Heres a list of planned mods for the engine:
: : weind stealth intake, lunati street/strip cam#30613(hydraulic),headers(haven't decided which ones yet)holley 600 double pumper, and maybe some 2.02 heads. The rear diff is stock gearing,3.00:1.I do have another question though,do you think this combo will work on the street pretty good or at all? Also planning on a posi for the rear.
: : Thanks for any help
