Alice, I've been reading all the comments from the board about the quack mechanic and I too agree...this guy is an idiot. Everyone knows you can't have a bent camshaft...those metal shavings HAVE to be coming from either a shrinking crankshaft or a stretched out block. Might wanna get the muffler bearings checked while you're doing all of this work too. It's amazing what all that heat can do. Good luck with the car.
