Thanks for the advice. I'm new to the engine upgrading game, so please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but the few references I have read say that the Ford Racing GT-40P heads are better than any of the stock heads. I assume that the 351W's you are recommending are the stock ones? Are they cheaper than the GT-40P's (~$500/pair assembled) or are they better?
Thanks again.

: To be conservative, go with the 351W's and of course a four barrell carb. Recurve the distributer to 38deg total advance and 8mm plug wires. Headers can also be a help to performance, the stock two barrel carb will work but my choice of street carbs and manifolds for out of box bolt on's is the Edelbrock 600cfm and the new air gap performer rpm manifold, but to benefit from any of these changes a good camshaft needs to be looked at. At any rate, the heads alone can only improve your engines performance.
