As an employee of my local autozone...Go there! We rent out a ball-joint press (make a deposit, free rental). It will allow you to easily remove the ball joint from the spindle. As for the lower ball-joint, it is not designed to be removable and you will need to replace the entire lower control arm. But don't worry! Autozone sells those too, and they're cheap! I think i paid $30 a piece. The lower control arms are NOT listed in the computer, so don't be surprised if they don't come up in the computer. You will need to request to look through the books--the McQuay Norris catalog will have the listing, and the arms are stocked by nearly all Autozones.
I rebuilt my entire front suspension (all parts lifetime warranty) for under $150--upper balljoints, strut rod bushings, lower control arms (with new ball joint and new control arm bushings), upper a-arm bushings, etc. I also got ahold of all the parts for my disc conversion there too. Like i said, they stock all the parts, they're just not in the computer (they're in the books).
