:thanks much
:John: This is difficult problem to help with as it take some knowlege of the operating system. Here are some areas to look.
...The carb should be Carter YFA. Since you indicate its runs ok otherwise, there is METERING ROD inside the carb that has an adjustment screw. it is accessed by taking the top of the carb off (air horn). It controls the position of this rod that causes the mixture to richen as the throttle is increased. To adjust, start with this rod bottoming in the casting (by screw adj.) then one turn in the clockwise direction, reassemble carb. You may get some help here. The float level may be a little high or some other problem. Make sure the choke in open when engine is hot and air cleaner is good. That about all I can offer.
Good luck Ken
