sorry if I sound like a dumbass. but i don't make it a practice of crashing my car or jerry-riggin'...I just thought I'd ask about running the metering valve temporarily. My ride is safe if I'm behind the wheel.

: a sharp lawyer that has any knowledge of cars will clean you out in court. What allot of people don't understand is a "modified" vehicle is a "legal" liability.
::
:...Rick brings up an all important point that everyone of us that modifies their car has the extra responsibility of liability in event of accident that results in damage or injury to others as a result of those modifications.
:...Case in point,though not exactly the same is the Ford/Firestone tire case. This was not mod but a product.
:...If you hit someone else due to brake failure on inadaquit braking, they buy your farm if it's found that the car was modified.
:...When doing your work on the suspension,steering,brakes etc ,strength of materials,correct parts and testing to be sure it will hold up is of prime importance. (Back yard engineering)
:...Be safe and responsible. We all take a chance.
