You can tell fenders by looking at the front lower corner. Follow the bottom line foward under the side marker light. If it goes to the front of the fender, then turns a little less than 90 degrees, and goes straight up towards the headlight, it is a 73 to 77 fender. The earlier ones have about a 3" notch on that lower, front corner.
