.. Here is an idea that could be a little easier on the wallet and work. The 1970- 250 I6 engine is rated at 155 HP. You get an imediate boost in power and torque from the displacement increase,and its just a boltin. Then if you want to put some mods into it depending on what can be afforded, the results will be greater than working with the 200. Find the engine ,get it worked on so you know its good and go from there. As for doing the V8 conversion, there are a lot of changes that must go with the job. To name some would be a v8 radiator, motor mounts,exhaust system, the correct oil pan,alternator, some wiring changes and the v8 being heavier, the front springs should be replaced with v8 springs.
