:I'm only 16 so I'm pretty new to this stuff, but I was wondering - can you put a Rochester quadrajet carb on a Ford? My dad's got one in the shed just sitting, so I was just wondering if I could put it to use. Any help is appreciated - thanks.

Weiand Stealth manifolds are square bore for Fords, and the Q-Jet is a spread bore. They wont work together without an adapter, which I don't recommend. As a matter of fact, it will be very difficult to find a spread bore manifold for a Ford application, as Ford never really used them as OE. You are creating a lot of work for no real benefit.

Q-Jets are very sensitive to application. Most are set up from the factory to work well with their specific application and start to exhibit problems even when switched to another GM application, much less a Ford. Then you have the issues of throttle linkage, aircleaner, etc.

My advice would be to get a Holley, Edelbrock or Autolite 4 barrel and avoid all the potential headaches.
