first take the screws out of the dash cover and pull it out slowly. Then reach behind it and unplug the circuit board plugin. It has clamps on each end. Then you'll find the speedometer cable has a plastic ring around it. Press it to one side and pull the cable out of the back. You might have to experiment with which way to press it, just work slowly and you get the hang of it. Then reassemble in the reverse mode. Once you get the dash board out everything else in pretty simple. Your bulbs should be the "peanut" bulb type. Replace them all when it's out so as to not have to do it again. :hi. well I was wondering what steps are needed to get the gauges outta the dash and the lights outta those gauges. they need replaced and I don't really know how to go about it. I Guess you take the screws out around the gauges and then reach up behind and undo the speedo cable is this right? also how does that cable come off? and once the gauges are out how do you get to where the lights are? oh and if anyone has done this recently and know what bulb it needs it'd save me a trip. thanks |
