:I put an oil pressure guage on today to see if the engine was worth messing with, the gauge I bought registered 60 psi at idle. Dad (I am 32) said that it is too high. If I fix the leaky rear seal, should I be concerned with the oil presure?


If the engine was not up to operateing temp when you took the oil pressure reading then you should not have any problems in that area, 60psi at idle is something many people try to achive with high pressure pumps.
