You should always turn the motor over by hand after each component is installed (each main cap, each rod & piston) to see if anything is binding. You probably have the wrong size bearings installed or a main or rod cap on backwards (or the wrong cap on the wrong rod or main). If you can't turn it with a breaker bar with the plugs out then something is binding. Check the valve train and dist (I think you have already) and if its not them then you'll have to pull the pan back off.
