I recently came across a beautiful 1976 maverick at a price I couldn't refuse. I know next to nothing about the car. I will have the car within the week, there are pics of it available right now, the only things I have to do to it are to replace the gas tank and ignition system, clean it and give it a good coat of wax, and get the original rims and fill in a crack on the dash and it will look like it just came out of a showroom. I was curious if anyone knew anything particularly interesting about this fine car or if anyone knew any links where I could find more information about it, I am planning on taking it in as I would a child and treating it as such as I go to college. I was wondering if anyone had any tips to ensure that the maverick enjoys a long and prosperous life as I look forward to having it for many years and making it presentable enough to take to car shows.
