I haven't yet checked the price of the unit. From what others have told me though, it is fairly expensive but still cheaper than an AOD trans. Plus the Gear Vendor unit is suppose to be able to handle over 400 ft. lbs. of torque without a problem. I am unsure what the limit of the AOD is, but I am not sure if I would feel safe with it at that power level. Second, the Vendor unit does not require me to change the crossmember, flywheel(AOD requires this) and would provide OD in any gear(1-3). The only down side I see with the Vendor unit is that it only provides a .8 gear ratio, not the .7 like the actual AOD trans. I will sort out the final details within the next few weeks.
