if you can wait till Saturady when I get home again, I'll give you the fitting and how they lock up. The master cyl, is probably the wrong one. Probably boxed wrong, when ever possible take the old part with you to the parts store.

:Here's the deal Im holding my 77 prop valve in my hands. Any way, the donor had power brakes and the valve was mounted vertically on the inner fender. It seems to match the one in the chiltons I have. The wiew that the chiltons shows is as though you are looking through the fender at it from the back. Starting at the top and going right it says 1.Front inlet: clearly coming in from the front of the master cylinder. 2.out to right front. 3. out to rear 4. inlet for rear 5. brake switch 6. out to left front.
:The puzzler is that I have two lines attached to the prop valve and one is coming out of what chilton's called #2 "out to right front." Why is this short line, which most likely went to the master cylinder, coming out here.
:
:It's too dark/late to check-out the 73 right now! It's not a prop valve anyway. I don't want to have to drive 1 and half hours each way just to check the donor car out again.
:
:I might add: I just looked at my new master cylinder, ordered as a 77 disc manual,....It's inlets are a little larger than the fittings on each of the short lines that came off the doner 77.
:
:What do you make of this.....does it sound like I may have gotten the wrong master cylinder?
:Should I just follow the Chilton's diagram?
:Does the power brake option play a role?
:
:What's Up?
